Managing the Top Navigation Bar (Adding New Links) This guide explains how to add new menu items (links) to the platform's top navigation bar by configuring the mainMenuLinks feature flag. Step 1: Access Navigation Configuration (0:01 – 0:05) - Navigate to App Configuration in the top menu (0:01). - Click on the Navigation & Links box (0:04). - Click on the mainMenuLinks feature flag (0:04). Step 2: Add a New Menu Item (0:05 – 0:15) - The menu links are listed as "ITEM" blocks (e.g., ITEM 1 is "Home," ITEM 2 is "Tutorials"). - Scroll down to the bottom of the list and click ADD ITEM TO VALUE (0:08 – 0:11). - A new block (e.g., ITEM 3) will appear. - Enter the internal name for the new link (e.g., "Demo 1") (0:12 – 0:14). Step 3: Define Slugs and Title (0:20 – 0:34) - HomepageSlug: Enter the URL slug for the page this link will navigate to (e.g., demo-home) (0:15 – 0:18). - FeaturedSlug: Enter the slug name that corresponds to a featured content slider (Category) on the destination page (e.g., featured-demo) (0:20 – 0:27). - Note: This links the menu item to a specific featured content area, which must be set up in the Categories section (see Create Featured Sliders guide). - Enter the user-facing name that will appear on the navigation bar (e.g., "Demo") (0:31 – 0:33). - Optional: You can also provide an IconUrl for a visual icon next to the link. Step 4: Save and Review (0:35 – 0:44) - Click SAVE to apply the changes (0:35). A notification will confirm: "Flag 'mainMenuLinks' updated" (0:37). Navigate to the platform's frontend. The new menu item ("Demo 1") will now appear in the top navigation bar (0:38 – 0:43).
