This video shows how to connect the Stripe product you created in Part 1 to your CMS, so the subscription actually exists in your system and can be used on the website and in checkout flows.
1. In the CMS, go to Product & Payments → Merchants.
2. Click Create new MerchantConfiguration.
3. In Template, choose Stripe Subscription and click Use (loads a prefilled template).
4. Fill Name (e.g., “My First Stripe Subscription Config”).
5. Fill Description.
6. In Provider name, keep/set it to stripe.
7. In the Configuration JSON block:
- Ensure `"mode": "subscription"`
- Ensure `"type": "DEFAULT"`
- Paste the Stripe Price ID into `"plan-id"` (this is the `price_...` value from Stripe, not the `prod_...`).
- Confirm settings like `setPaymentCountry` and `paymentMethodTypes` (card) as shown.
8. Click Save.
9. Back in the Merchants list, confirm the new config appears.
10. Optional: configure trial period
- If a free trial is offered, define the trial duration here.
- This must be consistent with how the product is intended to behave on Stripe.
