Set Up PayPal Product Part 1

This video shows how to create a subscription product and billing plan directly in PayPal. This is the PayPal-side equivalent of Stripe Part 1 and prepares everything you’ll later connect to the CMS in Part 2. 1. Open the PayPal dashboard. 2. Go to Manage subscriptions. 3. Start Create plan. 4. Choose product (the video selects an existing product, e.g. Coda Product). 5. In Create plan: - Enter a Plan name. - Optionally add a Plan description. - Click Next. 6. Configure pricing details: - (Optional) Decide if you need a one-time setup fee. - (Optional) Enable Offer a trial period: - Set trial price (example: £0) - Set duration (example: 14 days, 1 cycle) 7. Configure the subscription period: - Choose Unlimited billing cycles (as shown) - Set recurring price and interval (example UI shows every 1 month) 8. Set tax handling. 9. Continue to Review and save, then create the plan. 10. Copy the Plan ID (you’ll need it in Part 2).
