Guide: Editing the Password Reset Page Text
This guide details how to modify the content displayed on your platform's Password Reset page—the page where a user inputs their new password after receiving a reset link—by editing the `contentResetPassword` feature flag in the CMS.
Step 1: Access the Reset Password Configuration (0:06 – 0:11)
1. Navigate to App Configuration in the CMS.
2. Click the Pages & Content box.
3. Scroll down and click on the Content reset password flag (titled `contentResetPassword`).
Step 2: Customise Labels, Buttons, and Messages (0:12 – 0:35)
The content shown is the configuration window for the password reset elements:
1. Header: Edit the 'Header' field to change the main title of the page.
2. Reset Button: Edit the text on the primary action button in the 'ResetButton' field (e.g., changing from "Reset" to "Set New Password").
3. Cancel Button: Edit the text on the secondary button in the 'CancelButton' field (e.g., changing "Cancel" to "Go back to Login").
4. Success Message: Edit the 'Success' field to update the message shown after the password has been successfully reset.
Step 3: Customise Validation/Error Messages (0:30 – 0:35)
You can define custom messages for errors shown during the reset process:
1. Email Validation: Edit the message in the 'Email' field (under 'FormErrors') to customise the error shown if the email is invalid.
2. Password Validation: Edit the message in the Password field (under FormErrors) to customise the error shown if the new password does not meet requirements (e.g., minimum length).
Step 4: Save and Review (0:36 – 0:50)
1. After making your desired changes, click SAVE.
2. A notification will confirm that the flag has been updated.
3. Navigate to the platform's frontend to see the live updates on the Reset Password page.
