Creating a New Content License This guide details how to create and configure a new license element, which is essential for determining how, where, and when your content (movie or episode) is made available. Step 1: Start License Creation (0:01 – 0:08) - Navigate to the Movies (or Episodes) section in the CMS (0:01 – 0:03). - Open the item you wish to license (0:03). - Scroll down to the License & Contract section. - Click the + Create New License button (0:08). Step 2: Define License Identifiers (0:08 – 0:21) - Enter a unique external identifier for the license (0:13). - Content External Identifier: Enter a corresponding identifier for the content itself (0:16 – 0:17). Step 3: Define Essential Fields (0:22 – 0:53) This section defines the core availability parameters of the content. - Channel: Select the channel or platform (e.g., Smpl Video or Whitelabel) where the content will be available (0:23 – 0:24). - Active Countries: Define the territory: Click the dropdown and select Global (ALL) to make it available everywhere or select specific countries. (0:26 – 0:28). - Set the start and end dates for the license validity using the calendar pickers (0:30 – 0:43). - Properties (Monetization Type): Click the Properties dropdown to define how users access the content (0:45): FVOD = Free Video On Demand AVOD = Ad-Supported Video On Demand SVOD = Subscription Video On Demand TVOD = Transactional Video On Demand (Pay-per-view) EST = Electronic Sell-Through Select the desired property (e.g., FVOD) (0:50). Step 4: Save and Activate (0:53 – 1:03) Click SAVE (0:53) to create the license element. A notification "Resource created" will appear (0:55). Note: licenses need up to ten minutes to activate and take effect on the frontend (1:01 – 1:03). Click SAVE & BACK TO LIST to return to the movie
